Spinnaker Group Sails in New and Familiar Direction -- Sale of Green Building Consulting Company Announced

The Spinnaker Group's founding principals,
Rob and Virginia Hink, today announced
the sale of the green building consulting
firm to Jonathan Burgess, currently
Vice-President of the company. The
transaction was effective on
November 23, 2018.

Founded in 2003, the award-winning
Spinnaker Group helps facilitate the
delivery of the highest quality, sustainable
building projects. Using an integrated
team approach with a diverse range of
clients, the firm has more than 150 LEED Certified projects under its belt and more than 600 million sf
of commissioned building space to its credit. In addition to tapping USGBC's LEED and other ratings systems as anchors of its sustainable consulting, Spinnaker's team of professional architects and engineers offers project management, energy modeling, fundamental and enhanced building commissioning, Living Building Challenge, SITES, WELL ... and more.

Rob Hink will be consulting with Spinnaker as Founding Principal. He and Burgess have already started working side-by-side to ensure a smooth transition with client relationships and current operations.

Burgess has over a dozen years of experience in landscape architecture and design, and is a SITES Accredited Professional. He is a LEED Fellow with specialties in Neighborhood Development and Building Design + Construction. Jonathan is also a LEED Faculty and WELL Faculty member. With experience in site design, land planning and project management for major public and private developments covering practically all land use types, Burgess is a much sought-after speaker and lecturer. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami’s prestigious School of Architecture, and a co-Founder and co-Facilitator of the Living Building Challenge: Florida Collaborative.
