Spinnaker's Rittenhouse Honored as Green Leader at Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s Green Means Green Awards
Weston, FL (April 17, 2017) The Spinnaker Group is proud to announce
that the firm's LEED Project Manager, Jesse Rittenhouse, will be
recognized with the Green Leader Award at the upcoming Green
Means Green Awards Reception by the Coral Gables Chamber of
Commerce on April 27, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables.
Rittenhouse joined The Spinnaker Group in July of 2016 with a strong
background in the sustainability community in South Florida. "It is a
true honor to be recognized for the work I have been involved in to
further sustainable business practices and environmental nonprofit
missions in the Coral Gables and Miami-Dade County areas over the
last eight years," said Rittenhouse. "I am proud of the accomplishments
that I have been a part of and believe that this is as much of a recognition to The Spinnaker Group’s,
to the U.S. Green Building Council’s, and to Dream in Green’s great achievements, as it is to me.”
Since joining The Spinnaker Group, Rittenhouse has successfully completed the LEED construction submittal that led to LEED Silver Certification for The Eve at District (District 36), completed the LEED construction submittal for Sunset Office attempting LEED Platinum, and achieved FGBC Designated Professional accreditation.
In addition to Rittenhouse being honored, The Spinnaker Group’s project, the Frost School of Music building at the University of Miami, is receiving the Green Building award, after having successfully achieved LEED Platinum Certification. The Green Leader Award has also been given in 2015 to Spinnaker's VP of Sustainable Operations, Jonathan Burgess.
