Spinnaker Group provided LEED Consulting, Building Commissioning and Energy Modeling for this striking 125,930 sf, $23.6 million, Class A office and medical complex. The project achieved prestigious LEED Platinum certification (Core and Shell) in 2014, and received additional project-of-the-year recognition from USGBC South Florida and NAIOP.

Aventura Optima Plaza consists of a nine-story east tower fronting Biscayne Boulevard, a four-story west building, and a 457-space parking structure that links the two. The 20,000 sf garage rooftop features landscaped jogging trails and an exercise room exclusively for building tenants with showers and lockers. The project is accessible from Biscayne Boulevard and offers convenient drop-off areas at both the east and west building entrances. Other distinctive and sustainable features include solar panels on the southern facade, a floating terrace connecting the two buildings constructed using reclaimed wood with water features and attractive landscaping, and a unique glass floor system in the common areas of the west building.
